May is Lower East Side History Month – get ready for a month of wonderful events and happenings!

On Sunday, May 19 we’ll be tabling at Kehila Kedosha Janina‘s Greek Jewish Festival on Broome Street, where LESPI volunteers will be drumming up support for preserving the historic Lower East Side. We’ll be there from 12-4pm — we hope to see you!

On Tuesday May 21 we’re sponsoring a book talk on “Plentiful Country: The Great Potato Famine and the Making of Irish New York” at Church of St. Mary on Grand Street. See HERE for more details and to register.
