On May 23, the regular meeting with the deputies of the Standing Committee on Labor and Social Affairs of the RA National Assembly, the NA deputies and the representatives of the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) was held. The purpose of the meeting is to improve the mechanisms for fully exercising the electoral right of persons with disabilities and the process of full involvement of voters in the political process by ensuring access to polling stations.

Innovations in the Electoral Code on the improvements related to the voting procedure for persons with disabilities, as well as the proposals aimed at improving the mechanisms for exercising the electoral right of the latter were discussed.

The Committee provides a working platform for the parliamentarians interested in the topic to unite efforts to ensure more accessible electoral processes.
